“Trap Shooting” – Fun Among Peers

For the past couple of years, some of Boise’s premier structural engineering firms have gotten together to let off a little steam, share some food and drink, and compete!

In 2015, Brian Sielaff and his TGE crew hosted a fast and furious go-cart race at Fast Lanes on Franklin Rd. with Structural Edge, and Riverstone joining in the fun. Structural Edge crossed the finish line first. All we invited out to a local pub in Bowne Crossing to eat and watch the BSU game together to finish the “work” day.

This past October, David Sansota and his Structural Edge Engineering team hosted the annual engineering show down with employees from Tamarack Grove, Riverstone, and Axiom joining in. The competition was a friendly, albeit fierce, trap shooting competition at the Boise Rifle & Pistol Club south of town. Rumor has it that SE won that completion too, but the results were never posted. Hmmmm?

While a clear winner was never quite declared, shooting trap was a first for some, a little more serious for others, leaving the cream of the crop grappling for Top Shot bragging rights…until the next time.
