Celebrating a TGE milestone with Vista Architectural

Seymour Station in Cincinnati, Ohio, holds a special place in Tamarack Grove Engineering’s story:

it is TGE’s 30,000th project!

We’re celebrating that milestone alongside Vista Architectural, a client whose relationship with TGE has developed through years of collaboration—and continues to open new opportunities for both teams.

Our project records with Vista date back to 2019. Since then, the relationship has expanded from railing assignments to engineering for Vista’s new decking system. Along the way, Jen Terning, P.E., has played a central role in building the connection between our teams.

A trusted extension of the team

Asked what keeps Vista coming back to TGE, the company pointed to consistent reliability, technical expertise, and an understanding of its goals.

“Working with Jen and her team feels like a seamless extension of our own engineering and product development departments.” - James Webb, V.P. Business Development

Vista describes TGE as its primary structural engineering partner, supporting core product engineering, code compliance, and custom project sign-offs across its main product lines.

That relationship involves understanding how a product will be manufactured, how it will be used, and what a particular project requires. Vista values a team that responds under tight timelines and helps find practical solutions when challenges arise.

Engineering that supports new opportunities

Vista says the relationship has helped it pursue larger commercial specifications and more complex custom applications.

One example is Hillandale in Maryland, a multifamily project involving a custom wall shroud with demanding loading and anchoring requirements. According to Vista, TGE helped modify attachment details to address local code requirements while avoiding excessive manufacturing cost.

Vista credits that engineering support with helping close the deal.

It is a concrete example of the value an established engineering relationship can bring: familiarity with a client’s products and goals, paired with the technical work needed to address a new challenge.

A new chapter in decking

Vista’s expansion into decking brings another dimension to the partnership.

The company describes the move as an evolution from a multifamily custom railing supplier toward a broader outdoor living offering. Its goal is to provide builder, dealer, and distributor partners with decking and railing designed to work together.

For TGE, that evolution creates opportunities to support new product applications and deepen our understanding of Vista’s business. For Vista, it means bringing an established engineering partner into the next stage of its offering.

Seymour Station is part of that next chapter—and the project that marks TGE’s 30,000 milestone!

Celebrating the people behind the projects

This milestone belongs to the people who made it possible: the clients who place their trust in TGE and the employees who support their projects every day.

We’re especially grateful to Vista Architectural for its continued partnership, to Jen for helping nurture that relationship, and to everyone involved in delivering the work.

Thirty thousand projects is a reason to celebrate. The relationships behind them give that number its meaning.
