Structural Engineering Intern



  • Assist with calculations and redlines under the supervision of engineering team.

  • Perform shop drawing review.

  • Work with engineering team to obtain specific project information from authorities having jurisdiction (AHjs).

  • Attend local site visits with Engineering Team Manager and/or team engineers.

  • Attend weekly team meetings when available.

  • Act in a professional manner, exemplifying TGE's core values and mission statement.



  • No direct industry experience is required but is a plus.

  • Actively pursuing a degree in civil or structural engineering preferred.

  • Base knowledge of engineering principles is required.

  • Interest in the field of structural engineering, and completion of concrete design and steel design courses preferred.

Office Assistant



  • Perform administrative support tasks as assigned by Principals and staff.

  • Provide responsive and courteous administrative support to staff, (phones, inbound/outbound mail supplies, and travel arrangements.)

  • Create positive first impressions when answering inbound calls and greeting guests.

  • Perform administrative functions to include file and record keeping, maintaining and coordinating multiple calendars.

  • Develop a solid knowledge of company equipment, processes, and file structure.

  • Order and manage office supplies, inventory, and tracking of company equipment.


  • A high school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant office experience is required.

  • Ability to be professional, polite, and attentive with exceptional client/customer service skills.

  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Organized and proficient in multi-tasking and assisting the team with office and travel needs.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and requests in a fast-paced office environment.


Engineer I



  • Responsible for planning and conducting independent work, requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

  • Prepare or modify drawings, specifications, and calculations, and conduct work in compliance with applicable codes and accepted engineering practices.

  • Use FEA software to design simple structures and to analyze how they will act under applicable loading.


  • Limited direct industry experience is preferred.

  • Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) or Engineer Intern (E.I.) preferred.

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.


Engineer II


  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis, and construction cost estimates.

  • Perform construction-related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections.

  • Collaborate with architects and designers and building contractors on design and construction of projects.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Engineer III



  • Responsible for the coordination, review, and completion of structural design calculations, plans, specifications, reports, and letters.

  • Assist Engineering Team Manager with project and team management duties.

  • Possess the ability to perform a lead project engineer role and to supervise and review work completed by other team engineers.



  • Minimum 8 years of direct industry experience.

  • P.E. Licensure.

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
