Building a Culture Worth Celebrating

When I started Tamarack Grove Engineering, I never set out to win awards. The goal was much simpler, and much harder. Build a company where great people genuinely want to come to work, trust one another, grow together, and enjoy solving challenging problems for our clients.

Recently, that vision was recognized in a meaningful way.



I am incredibly honored that Tamarack Grove Engineering was named the #2 Small Top Company to Work For in the Treasure Valley by the Idaho Business Review. This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the experiences and feedback of our team. It's a reminder that culture isn't something you write on a wall. It's something you live every day.


Awards like this don't belong to one person. They belong to every member of our team who chooses to show up with integrity, support one another, embrace accountability, and contribute to something bigger than themselves. It truly takes a village to build a company rooted in trust, relationships, and shared purpose.


One of the highlights of the event was the opportunity to join fellow business leaders for a panel discussion on intentional leadership and workplace culture. It was an honor to share the stage with peers who are equally committed to investing in their people and creating workplaces where employees can thrive.


During the discussion, I kept coming back to one idea: culture doesn't happen by accident.


Culture is built through intentional decisions made every day.


It's found in how we communicate during difficult conversations. It's reflected in how we celebrate wins, learn from setbacks, develop future leaders, and care for one another as people, not just employees. Every interaction either strengthens or weakens culture. There really isn't much middle ground.



At Tamarack Grove, we've learned that trust is earned through consistency. Relationships matter. Transparency matters. People want to know they belong, that they're valued, and that their work has purpose. When those things exist, extraordinary things begin to happen.


I'm grateful to Idaho Business Review and Best Companies Group for recognizing organizations that prioritize workplace culture and for creating opportunities for leaders to share ideas that strengthen Idaho's business community. Events like these remind us that while every company has its own story, we're all working toward the same goal: building organizations where people can do their best work and enjoy the journey together.

We'll celebrate this milestone, but we won't stop here. Great cultures are never finished. They require continual investment, intentionality, and a commitment to getting a little better every single day.
