America at 250: Built on Something That Lasts

Two hundred and fifty years ago, a group of people with extraordinary vision and extraordinary faith decided to build something that had never been built before. Not just a government. A nation founded on the idea that every person is endowed with inalienable rights: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. They wrote it down, signed their names, and staked everything on it.
That kind of conviction takes more than courage. It takes integrity. It takes a willingness to serve something greater than yourself.
At Tamarack Grove Engineering, those words land close to home.
When we founded TGE in 2003, we weren't just starting an engineering firm, we were planting something. Our mission, Building Relationships by Serving Others, was never about transactions or deliverables alone. It was about doing work that means something, for people who matter, in a way that reflects our values: relationships, servant leadership, integrity, respect, joy, and a commitment to always go beyond.
Those values didn't come from a strategic planning session. They came from a belief shared by the TGE ownership team that when you operate with excellence and integrity, you bless the people around you. Clients. Teammates. Communities. And in doing so, you leave the world better than you found it.
That's the American story, isn't it?
Across 250 years, Americans have channeled the freedoms enshrined in our founding documents into something tangible: farms and factories, schools and hospitals, bridges and buildings that have transformed raw land into thriving communities. The structures that define our skylines and neighborhoods didn't happen by accident. They were designed with care, built with skill, and made possible by the countless professionals who showed up every day to serve their clients and craft their trade with pride.
We are honored to be part of that tradition. In the past two decades, TGE has had the privilege of working in all 50 states, across U.S. territories, into Canada, and beyond — supporting clients who are building the places where people live, work, learn, and worship. Every project is a small chapter in a much larger story.

As we mark this milestone year for our nation, we find ourselves filled with gratitude. Grateful for the freedom to build a company rooted in faith and purpose. Grateful for an industry that rewards integrity and diligence. Grateful for clients who trust us with their ideas, and for a team of talented people who bring those ideas to life with skill, joy, and genuine care for the work.
America at 250 is not just a celebration of the past. It is an invitation to reflect on what we are building today and what we want to hand to the next generation.
At TGE, we intend to keep building well.
Happy 250th, America! We are proud to be part of your story.
